Nordic Responsible AI Summit — first edition delivered, second edition in preparation.
The first edition ran 23–27 February 2026, virtual, open to participants in Norway, the Nordics, and globally. The second edition follows in autumn 2026.
Why a Nordic Summit, and why now.
The Nordic region punches dramatically above its weight in trust, public-sector legitimacy, and digital infrastructure — and dramatically below it in frontier AI capital, talent density, and policy assertiveness. The Nordic Responsible AI Summit is the working room where that imbalance is corrected.
The first edition ran from 23 to 27 February 2026 in a virtual format open to participants in Norway, the Nordics, and globally. Rather than one full day, it was delivered as focused sessions of 45 to 60 minutes across the week, which made it accessible to senior leaders and international participants. It was organised by ImpactLab in partnership with the Research Council of Norway and Global Shapers Oslo, and all recordings were published openly.
23–27 February 2026. Delivered.
A research-based meeting ground for business leaders, policymakers, and academics, delivered virtually with open registration. Three sessions of 45 to 60 minutes were distributed across the week, and every recording was published openly afterwards.

Second edition — autumn 2026.
The second edition runs in autumn 2026. Dates and format are to be announced; the distributed-week model of the first edition worked well for a mixed audience of leaders and researchers and is the starting point for the design. The drafting agenda is organised into four tracks, each producing one section of the Nordic AI Blueprint.
Governance
Foundation models, the EU AI Act, and the Nordic single market. Working session output: a procurement clause library.
Literacy at scale
AI competence for the public sector, SMEs, and frontline workers. Working session output: the AI for Norway curriculum framework v1.
AI for the public good
Health, welfare, and climate use cases with measurable outcomes. Working session output: a deployment-readiness checklist.
Trust and inclusion
Equity, representation, and democratic safeguards. Working session output: an inclusion-explicit cohort standard for Nordic AI programmes.
The room.
Ministers and senior public-sector leaders
Frontier AI researchers from Nordic universities
Founders building responsible AI companies
Investors and aligned capital allocators
Civil-society and media leaders
International observers (Harvard, MIT, OECD, WEF)
The published artifact.
Each edition produces one published artifact: the Nordic AI Blueprint. It is not a whitepaper. It is the consolidated working-session output — checklists, clauses, frameworks, curricula — that delegates have committed to carry back to their institutions. Open-licensed (CC BY 4.0), with named institutional commitments listed.
Blueprint releases are announced in The Dispatch.
Take a seat at the table.
The second edition opens registration ahead of autumn 2026, with a small invited cohort alongside open sessions. Selection prioritises operators who can carry blueprint commitments back to their institutions.
