What it is
Sweden's AI Act inquiry proposed Post- och telestyrelsen (PTS) as lead market-surveillance authority, with IMY supervising biometrics, law enforcement and credit-scoring uses, and Finansinspektionen and IVO in their sectors, plus a national sanctions regime aligned with the Act.
Inquiry SOU 2025:101 reported in autumn 2025; consultation closed February 2026. IMY has since been given its market-surveillance mandate by government decision; the full implementing law is still pending.
